Before embarking on their Everest and Lhotse expedition, the Alpinist Climber Expeditions team, under the leadership of Prakash Sherpa, opted for a less crowded peak, Nirekha, over Lobuche East. Their decision aimed to savor the solitude of the climb. Alpinist Climber Expeditions team was the only team on the mountain at this time and it is one of the less climbed peaks. The first ascent took place on April 19th, with Prakash Sherpa, Rogier Van Keulen and Galden Sherpa to the summit. Two days later, on April 21st, the second team, led by Prakash Sherpa once again, reached Nirekha Peak with members Lenka Polackova, Jan Polacek, and Pasang Sherpa. With both summits accomplished, the team is now gathered at Everest Base Camp, eagerly awaiting the puja ceremony and the commencement of their first rotation.
